One feature of the bailout may help shine a little light on some green businesses. Advanced Green Technologies say they have already seen an increase in calls since the government approved a 30 percent federal tax rebate with the bailout.

It was an unnerving start to the week for a Brunswick County deputy. Deputy Justin Stadler responded to a break-in call on Dogwood Road in Winnabow around three o’clock Monday afternoon, to find a man standing in the road holding an axe.

First up is 37-year-old Troy Galloway. Galloway is wanted for assault with serious injury. Our second fugitive is 36-year-old Deshon Clemmons. Clemmons is wanted for possession of marijuana and scheduled IV substances. He is also wanted for assault with serious injury. New Hanover County Animal Control brought this cat on Good Morning Carolina Tuesday, and we are very happy to report that during the broadcast, she found a happy home. Our own Marcy Cuevas is now the proud owner. She said she fell in love with the kitty this morning, and her husband David surprised her by bringing it home. There are plenty of other animals that need good homes. To see what other pets are available at New Hanover County Animal Control, call the shelter at 910-798-7500 or visit them at 180 Division Drive. Also, if your pet needs a rabies vaccine, you can get it for free this weekend. There is a no-cost rabies vaccine clinic Saturday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Brunswick River Park.
