A flight to New Jersey for his daughter's wedding turned into quite an expensive trip for one Wilmington man. After catching a deal on roundtrip tickets he got hit with a $1,000 charge after a problem forced him to delay his flight 24 hours.

Engineering is a male-dominated profession in this country, with females making up only ten percent of engineers. Some local female engineers are trying to change that.

The regular season is not over yet for UNC Wilmington. But, if the CAA tournament started tomorrow -- and that is not the case -- then UNC Wilmington would be the # 2 seed with a 10-5 conference record. The hawks have a lot of momentum as well. UNCW is coming off a dramatic 75-73 victory on the road last Saturday against George Mason.

Earlier this month we told you New Hanover County roads are rated the most dangerous in the state for drivers. It's a problem that could get worse as our area continues to grow.

It's a fact of life, the more people in an area, the more crime. It's one unfortunate side of our region's growth.
