Wright working his way through prison system

Former state Rep. Thomas Wright is working his way through the North Carolina prison system. Wright was convicted on three counts of fraud yesterday in Raleigh and sentenced to as much as eight years in prison.

Mrs. North Carolina crowned

Nicole Hinson was crowned on Saturday at the annual pageant in Gastonia. Hinson has participated in the pageant for the past five years and has always placed but is excited for her big win this year.
