The large amount of rainfall we’ve received in the last couple of days has caused large amounts of polluted storm water runoff to flow into local waterways. Due to the danger, the Division of Marine Fisheries has closed some shellfish areas.

More than three hundred million people in 210 countries prayed together yesterday as part of the Global Day of Prayer.
Here in Wilmington, worshipers filled Myrtle Grove Presbyterian Church. The original location was Legion Stadium, but the rain forced the event to move indoors.

The trial is scheduled to start today for a man accused of killing a FBI employee nearly a decade ago. It took a six-year investigation and a man hunt that led federal agents to Louisiana in 2005, to finally bring Tyrone Delgado back to Wilmington to stand trial for the murder of Melissa Mooney.
