videoJudging by the results at the polls, Brunswick County voters were ready for some new faces. Three incumbent mayors were edged out by new political challengers. The mayor-elects won by a good number of votes.

Second chance for some of those with misdemeanors in Pender County

videoProsecutors in Pender County took an unprecedented step Wednesday to clear their caseload. It was Immunity Day at the Pender County Courthouse. People facing misdemeanor charges who missed their court date got kind of a "second chance".

Two new members join City Council, focus stays on city's future

videoRonald Sparks, Earl Sheridan, Kristi Tomey, Jim Quinn, and Margaret Haynes have two more meetings as the Wilmington City Council. Kevin O'Grady and Charlie Rivenbark will replace Quinn and Haynes come January.

Pender County suspect turns self in after seeing sketch of himself

A man turned himself in to Pender County law enforcement Tuesday after seeing a sketch of his face. A witness described a man he saw breaking into a home in Hampstead to a sketch artist.

NC hospital segregates flu victims in outdoor tent

A major North Carolina hospital is pitching tents to battle the spread of swine flu. The Greensboro News & Record reported Wednesday that two tents in the Moses Cone Hospital parking lot are the first stop for patients seeking treatment for flu symptoms.
