Traffic advisories for Officer's memorial service

A memorial service for Officer Richard Matthews will take place Monday at 1:00 pm, at St. Mark's Catholic Church on Eastwood Road. If you are attending the service, or will be traveling through that part of town, be aware of possible delays.

Taking the plunge to help Special Olympics

videoThe sun might have been shining Saturday, but it did little to warm up those who decided to take the polar plunge. A huge crowd participated in this year’s event to raise money for the Special Olympics. Participants took a dip in the frigid ocean and most immediately ran right back out.

Visitation Sunday for Officer Matthews

videoThis weekend, Officer Richard Matthews will be honored here in Wilmington. Visitation is set for Sunday from 5:00 to 8:00 pm, at Port City Community Church on Vision Drive. A funeral service will take place Monday at 1:00 pm, at St. Mark's Catholic Church on Eastwood Road.
