It was a day of giving back for former Hoggard girls’ basketball coach, Columbus Pridgen.
With the help of his new employer, Powell Bail Bonding, Pridgen organized a Feed the Homeless event in downtown Wilmington on Saturday.

Saturday was the final night for the 7th annual Port City Rock Against Rape benefit to support the Coastal Horizons Rape Crisis Center. New Hanover County ranks fourth in North Carolina for the highest incidence of rape per capita in the state.

It was hot rods as far as the eye could see in downtown Wilmington Saturday.
The fifth annual Rims on the River event rolled into town. Onlookers were able to view vintage cars and motorcycles dating back to 1980 and earlier.
