A bomb threat prompted the New Hanover County Courthouse to be evacuated Monday.
The threat was called into the 911 center from a payphone at 902 Rankin Street at 11:52 a.m. The courthouse was evacuated while authorities performed a visual search, but did not find anything.

Dog adoptions are back on at the Brunswick County Animal Shelter. Adoptions were put on hold last month after two dogs tested positive for distemper, a highly-contagious respiratory disease.
