Tuesday we told you 17-year-old Allen Strickland was in back in jail. He was held in lieu of a $500,000 bond after allegedly leading police on a chase in his Corvette, which he had no license to drive. Now we have learned Strickland has come up with the money to post that bond.

There are major developments to report tonight in the shooting investigation involving State Senator RC Soles. Wednesday afternoon, District Attorney Rex Gore announced that he has asked a special prosecutor from the Attorney General's Office to step in and take over the case.

A four month old boy is still hospitalized Wednesday night, after a pit bull chewed his toes off a couple of nights ago.
The baby's mother and her boyfriend are charged with felony child abuse.

Medical examiners are saying the two parasailers killed last week in Ocean Isle Beach did not drown. Instead, the two women died from blunt trauma, according to autopsy reports.

Thirty-one-year-old Prentice Nixon is wanted for obtaining property by false pretenses.
Fifty-seven-year-old Alfred Burton is a registered sex offender wanted for failure to register.
The sheriff's office also needs your help finding four Pender County men who owe a total of $200,000 in unpaid child support.
Rodney Echols is wanted for owing more than $3,000.
Ivey Wilson Jr. owes more than $5,000.
James Marshall is wanted for owing more than $24,000 in unpaid child support.
Thomas Powell Jr. is wanted for owing more than $169,000.

The City of Wilmington needs a new hotel developer. At its meeting Tuesday night, City Council voted to terminate an agreement with Wilmington River Group.
The company was supposed to build the Hotel Indigo next to the new convention center.
