The UNCW men's basketball team remains undefeated in 2011. The Seahawks beat William & Mary on the road on Monday night 61-59 to improve UNCW's record to 1-1 in the CAA and 7-6 overall. The next three games for UNC Wilmington will all be CAA home games at Trask Coliseum.

The estimated jackpot for the Tuesday, Jan. 4, Mega Millions drawing will be $330 million. The final size of the jackpot will be determined by ticket sales today and Tuesday, but it will be the first time the jackpot has exceeded $300 million in three and a half years.

Average retail gasoline prices in North Carolina have risen 2.7 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.01/g yesterday. This compares with the national average that has increased 1.4 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.05/g, according to gasoline price website NorthCarolinaGasPrices.com.
