The lights are back on for nearly everyone
in North Carolina who lost electricity during the deadly spring
storms. Progress Energy announced late Wednesday that virtually all
power has been restored to its customers. A handful of homes and
businesses were damaged too badly for service to be restored.

After an extensive investigation, with the assistance of Wrightsville Beach Police, Detectives intercepted a shipment of marijuana and executed a control delivery to Phuc Van Tran, a 39 year old Asian male.
Tran was arrested on April 8, 2011 at 1405 Lumina Ave. Wrightsville Beach. Detectives confiscated over 33 pounds of marijuana with a street value of over $150,000.00
