Boy says he saw fin before marine animal bit him at Wrightsville Beach

New details have been released on a child that suffered a bite by a marine animal yesterday. It happened about 4:00 yesterday afternoon near access number 8 in the vicinity of Moores inlet at Wrightsville Beach.

Robinson fills open spot on New Hanover bench

Gov. Bev Perdue today appointed Robin Wicks Robinson to the District Court bench for the 5th Judicial District which covers New Hanover and Pender Counties. She will fill the vacancy created by the death of Judge John Carroll.
