Brunswick county man pleads guilty to statutory rape. The District Attorney's office says 22-year-old Joshua Benjamin Higgins of Southport pleaded guilty to two counts of statutory rape for incidents that occurred with a 13-year-old girl in 2009.

We have learned that a Leland police officer recently filed a harassment charge against the police department - and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission found in her favor late last week.
Multiple sources tell us Sherry Lewis was shot in the private area multiple times with training simulation ammunition by fellow officers.
