Mid season report on Mideastern Conference

video Two years ago Laney didn't win a varsity football game. This year the Buccaneers sport the best record in the Mideastern 4-A conference at 5-0. Hoggard is 4-0 this season after a down year in 2010. New Hanover and Ashley may end up with better record than last year as well.

Police in Charlotte say someone fired a BB gun at a school bus, injuring one passenger as it carried students home from an elementary school.

Fire at Buckhead Fire and Rescue in Columbus County

Firefighters at the Buckhead Fire and Rescue in Bolton battled a fire that broke out at the firehouse. Fire officials say that fire sparked in one of their primary engines and then spread to the building where it was being housed. They say the truck is a total loss and the storage bay suffered significant damage. There are no reported injuries. The cause is under investigation.
