The Joint Legislative Committee's work is intended to deal with review of local (county and municipal) bond issues. Any bond over $1 million, for anything other than schools, will be reviewed by the JLC from a fiscal perspective to determine the viability of the bond proposal. Rep. Justice's prior service as a Pender County Commissioner is an important reason she was chosen to chair this committee.
