University of North Carolina student Andrew Bauer says he had to act fast when he heard that Big Bird's job was in jeopardy. During last week's presidential debate, Republican candidate Mitt Romney said he would cut funding to PBS, which would essentially fire Big Bird. Jerry Sandusky has been sentenced to at least 30 years in prison in the child sexual abuse scandal that brought shame to Penn State and led to coach Joe Paterno's downfall.
