videoOn Monday the East Carolina Pirates held their final Greenville practice before heading to New Orleans for their upcoming bowl game. On Monday WWAY had high school hoops from Pender High. It was a backyard rivalry game between the Patriots and the Topsail Pirates. Duke is now #1 in the country in men's basketball.

NC-born sailor dies of non-combat injuries at home

Military officials say a sailor from Spring Lake has died from non-combat related injuries. The Department of Defense said Monday that 29-year-old Lt. Leonard Robinson of Spring Lake died Dec. 15, while at home on leave in Fayetteville.
