The Wilmington Hammerheads pro soccer squad held a tryout, a free youth clinic and a sale on team merchandise. On Sunday the Carolina Panthers more than held their own against the team with the best record in the NFC. We also provided a recap of Saturday's ACC-CAA showdown between UNCW & Georgia Tech.

The Brunswick County Sheriff's Office is investigating a stabbing in Shallotte. Around 6:30 p.m. 26-year-old Keith Futch was found stabbed in the chest.
