Police in Salisbury are looking for the rare thief who's apparently eager to go to prison. Someone broke into the Piedmont Correctional Institution, stole copper from an air conditioning unit and escaped.

Some UNC Wilmington students put the idea of turning trash into treasure into practice today.
Students worked together to build palm trees out of recyclable materials found around campus. The campus dining collected boxes, can lids and two-liter soda bottles to construct the trees.
