John Calipari played college basketball at UNC Wilmington for one season. It wasn't the happiest period of his life, nor was it a time full of playing time. On Monday night Calipari and the Kentucky Wildcats beat Kansas in New Orleans in the national championship game. It's Calipari's first national title.

UNC's Tyler Zeller, NC State's CJ Williams and Duke's Miles Plumlee will be hoopin' it up at Brunswick Community College on Thursday. The ACC Barnstorming Tour all-star basketball game will be played at the Gore Center on the BCC campus.

The Richmond Flying Squirrels and the city have agreed that the best place for a new stadium is Richmond's fleet maintenance facility on the Boulevard, adjacent to The Diamond, but there is no firm plan. Financing remains the missing piece.

According to the report Dailey and the mother of his children got into an argument Sunday morning. The victim stated that during the argument Dailey grabbed her face, choked her and bound her hands with cords. At one point the victim fled the house, followed by Dailey carrying their 11 month old in his arms as her attempted to restrain her and drag her back into the house.
