The State House of Representatives has given final approval to two bills blocking forced annexation in North Carolina.
One bill overturns the annexation of Monkey Junction, areas near Southport and others across the state. That's a done deal.

The City of Wilmington is one step closer to building a ballpark and bringing a minor league team to the Port City. The city’s consultant, National Sports Services, presented results from a recent survey about the ballpark Tuesday night, as well as some potential building sites.
