video On Tuesday night we featured game action from the Wilmington Sharks summer league baseball team.... We also checked out baseball action from the Dixie Youth state championship that's being held in Leland this week for 12 year olds.... Southport hosted the 13 year old state championship this week. Brunswick County emerged the winner.

Dozens rescued from rip currents in Carolina Beach

video With summer well underway and so many headed out to the beach, rip currents continue to be a major threat to swimmers. Carolina Beach Ocean Rescue says lifeguards have had their hands full, with nearly 40 assists and rescues from rip currents on Tuesday alone.

Airlie gets $7k old bill from CFPUA

video Billing issues continue with the Cape Fear Public Utility Authority. This time its a county-owned property facing significant back billing. CFPUA recently hit Airlie Gardens with a nearly $7,000 bill. For Airlie Gardens Director Jim McDaniel, it's tough pill to swallow.

EEE reported in New Hanover, Bladen, Robeson
