Leland Town Council passed an agreement Thursday night to extend services to Belville, Navassa and Sandy Creek.
They agreed to offer both animal control and building inspection services to the three Brunswick County towns if they choose to accept.

The City of Wilmington's talks with Mandalay and the Atlanta Braves are done for the week, but there is still no deal for the proposed ballpark.

The drought across much of the country is threatening to drive up the price of a lot of the food we eat.
Here in the Cape Fear it's a double-edged sword for corn farmers.Demand is high for their product, but the heat is taking a toll on the crop as well.
