Former New Hanover Wildcat Cari Blalock snared an individual title on Friday night in the 400 women's individual medley at the ACC Swimming & Diving Championships. On Saturday night Blalock topped that off by winning the 200 women's butterfly. It's Blalock's second ACC title in as many nights. Full story...

Several members of the Wilmington Police and Fire departments took a break from fighting fire and crime Saturday night to instead raise over 2,000 dollars for charity. With 215 blooms displayed, 545 attendees, and 6 new American Camellia Society members, the 63rd Annual Tidewater Camellia Club Show was a success. This weekend, growers from North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia plucked their best blossoms to show off at the Arab Shrine Club on South College road.
