NC man convicted in death of 23-month-old son

A Mecklenburg County jury has convicted a Charlotte man in the 2008 beating death of his 23-month-old son. The jury of seven men and five women deliberated about five hours over two days before reaching their verdicts Wednesday in the trial of Andre Hampton.
