North Brunswick defeated Northwood 10-5 on Monday night in game three of a best of three series in Pittsboro to secure the 2-A east title for high school baseball. WWAY was there to capture all the excitement. North Brunswick will begin play on Friday afternoon in Zebulon against Piedmont High School in the 2-A state championship baseball series. Full story...

As the sun sinks down over downtown Wilmington, sweet sounds swing up and down Front Street. At the mouthpiece is saxophonist Glen McRae. The Wilmington National Cemetery was the site of the Memorial Day service, hosted by the New Hanover County Veterans Council. During the Tolling of the Bells Ceremony, over six hundred names of local, fallen servicemen and women were read aloud. Full story...

New Hanover High School hosted the Funeral service of Barbara Ann Brunson Monday. Brunson worked in the cafeteria at the school for 33 years and requested her service be held at the school. Full story...
