Hoggard alum Cooper agrees to deal with NFL's Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals have reached a contract agreement with first-round draft pick Jonathan Cooper. The four-year deal is worth about $14.5 million, the maximum allowed under the NFL collective bargaining agreement for Cooper, a Hoggard alum, as the seventh pick overall.

Man on scooter crashes into SUV

A 49-year-old man on a scooter crashed into an SUV earlier this afternoon. According to Highway Patrol, Mark Taylor crossed over the median and into the SUV on River Road at about 2:45 p.m.

Carolina Yacht Club hosts the Atlantic Coast Championship Regatta

videoFifty-five sailing crews from up and down the east coast traveled to Wrightsville Beach to compete in the Atlantic Coast Championship. Carolina Yacht Club hosted the event which featured the Lighting class of sailboats.
