Flu expert discusses deadly season across North Carolina

videoThis winter has been a particularly tough flu season. Last week eight people in North Carolina died from complications associated with the flu, including one person in Pender County. "The flu is just not the common cold," NHRMC epidemiologist Dr. Paul Kamitsuka said. "It kills."

WHA: Gang heroin bust a sign of residents helping fight crime

Jerry Brewer says in a news release the investigation intro heroin trafficking by validated members of the Blood gang started in November in partnership with Wilmington Police and the FBI Safe Streets Task Force.
