Team USA to face Japan Tuesday at Shark Tank

videoThe collegiate national baseball team will make an appearance in Wilmington on Tuesday night against Japan. This will be the third game of a 3 game series for Team USA against Japan. Team USA beat Japan on Sunday in Thomasville. Japan won on Monday in Wilson. Tuesday's game in Wilmington will decide the best of three series. First pitch is slated for 6pm at Buck Hardee Field. There will be live music prior to the game at the Shark Tank. There will be a fireworks display afterwards.

Ashley High School leadership under fire

videoThe level of dissatisfaction from teachers at Ashley High School in Wilmington is growing. We told you last week about the initial, dismal, results of those teacher satisfaction surveys. Tonight we've learned about a second survey sent out in response to the initial survey and what it shows us the school seems to be concerned about the initial survey results.

Woman riding in car shot in leg

videoWilmington Police are looking for answers after a woman riding in the back the back seat of a car was shot in the leg Friday night. Police say Jaquelle Parker, 22, was seated behind the driver when she was hit. They say the driver was dropping off a passenger at the Market North Apartments when the car full noticed a crowd in the street watching fireworks, and pulled over to do the same.

Police: One hurt, another charged after fight between sisters

Wilmington Police say a fight between sisters on Saturday landed one in the hospital and the other arrested. Investigators say they were called to Cape Fear Memorial Hospital just after 1:30 a.m.

Man robbed before being tied to bed and gagged

Wilmington Police are investigating after a man says he was robbed at gunpoint, tied to his bed, and then gagged by the suspects. Saturday night, police say the victim was in his bathroom when the suspects approached him and thew him on his bed in the 4100 block of Spirea Drive.
