UNC board caps tuition increases at 5 percent

The Board of Governors for the University of North Carolina system is capping tuition increases at 5 percent annually for each campus. WTVD reported that the board also voted Friday to cap the amount of tuition revenue diverted to financial aid at 15 percent.

McCrory orders that laws be enforced on coal ash

Laney hits the field at the stroke of midnight

videoFriday marked the first day high school football teams are permitted to hit the practice field for the upcoming season. Most squads waited for the sun to come up, but that was not the case at Laney. The Buccaneers waited for the clock to strike midnight. Our report from Buctown includes standout Tariq Lane. The senior has decided to attend Laney after contemplating a move to Charlotte.
