The body of a swimmer missing since Tuesday has been found in Brunswick County.
Holden Beach Police Chief Wally Layne says the body of Kwesi Sample was found around 7 a.m. about a half mile from where he was last seen.

Victims of paralysis proved this weekend that nothing can stop them from hitting the waves at Wrightsville Beach. Community surfers came together with the support of "Life Rolls On," a non-profit organization, to host the event "They Will Surf Again" where teams of surfers take participants out into the water.

The 20th Annual Seaside Soccer Tournament kick-started the local economy this weekend. Over 300 teams and over 4,000 people from North Carolina and as far as Georgia occupied several fields throughout New Hanover County during the day, and then spent money on hotel rooms, restaurants, and stores after game's end.

A Jacksonville man has been convicted in a wreck that killed his girlfriend. The Daily News of Jacksonville reported that 41-year-old Michael Eugene Kincaid was convicted Thursday of felony death by motor vehicle, driving while impaired and careless and reckless driving.
