The first round is complete. Hoggard is the only team from New Hanover County to advance to the semi-finals in the girls holiday tournament, but they're not the only local team to advance. East Bladen is in the semi-finals as well. Full story...

UNCW fails to win third consecutive game - Seahawks fall in overtime

UNCW trailed most of the game on Monday night against Illinois State, but the Seahawks forced overtime against Illinois State. In overtime Chad Tomko missed a desperation three pointer at the buzzer that would have won the game. As a result the Redbirds snap UNCW's two game winning streak, downing the Seahawks 62-60 in Trask Coliseum. Full story...

Wake Forest is next for UNCW after the Seahawks lose their CAA opener

UNCW will be the home team this coming Sunday against Wake Forest despite the fact the game is being played in Greensboro. Former New Hanover Wildcat Ty Walker is now a junior at Wake Forest. He's expected to play several minutes against the Seahawks. Sunday's game will be played at the Greensboro Coliseum. It's a 2pm start. Full story...
