The 23rd ranked UNCW men's soccer team hosted the 11th ranked Duke Blue Devils Tuesday night. A record breaking crowd saw the Seahawks lose 1-0.

This is Pat Byrd's first season as the head coach of the West Bladen Knights. Last year Byrd was an assistant coach under Raymond Marlowe. Veteran coach Raymond Marlowe retired a few months ago and Byrd is looking to use his enthusiasm and football knowledge to turn the Knights into a winning program. Dennis Bannick is entering his second season as the head football coach of the West Columbus Vikings. This year he actually attended the first day of practice. He missed the first few days last year due to the fact he wasn't hired to coach West Columbus until August 4th, 2009.
