Christmas is o-v-e-r....I don't think anyone here is running the city down...just the festival. Traffic increases quadruple, and we all know it's bad enough just on a normal day. I've lived here all my life (60+ years), and I love my city, but I sure am glad when the festival is over and life gets back to normal.

Looking at the numbers you are in the minority on this. I am totally enjoying my spring by doing other things. 25 years in Wilm, 1 Azalea fest and 1 Riverfest. whoohoo

That's right, the Queen will repeat the same words everyother Queen has uttered, yet it just doesn't seem genuine; which is why I will be avoiding the Azalea Festival again, let's see, this will be my 22nd Azalea Festival ignored, out of 22; although "Old Blue Eyes" was a impressive catch, so was Air Supply, back in the day, Phyllis Rashad was impressive, but then so was the dismissal of the girl from the Seaver "Family" show, that got uninvited, because she posed in Playboy! Let's face it, Bubba Politics run Azalea, like Bubba is running our City and County Councils, and it's tiring! So keep bringing in the clowns, and let us all get past it.

I can't wait to hear the Azalea Queen say how great our city is and how friendly and hospitable everyone is. Year after year, it never ever ever ever ever gets old.

"Southern hospitality" that's what they ALL say, its so phony. Yes, all the Azalea fest folks are sooooooooooo nice, really? What do the Queens expect?

Thug Hang Out
The Azalea Festival and Riverfest have become a hangout for gangs and thugs (all different races). That's why I don't go anymore.
Azalea Queen's, everyone of you....
