Are you starting to cut back on driving because gas prices are around $3.80 a gallon now?

why is it that Bush was blamed when gas prices increased but you hear no blame on Obama. - Double standard. Oh and what about Obama's wars - you do not see protestors on the streets like during the Bush Admin. - and DOUBLE STANDARD. Obama is happy that the gas prices are increases because it increases his control over the citizens - you either do not drive or HAVE to buy the type of car he wants you to have - small - hybrid. Did you hear his comment to the man that has a suburban and needs one since he has a lot of kids? Instead of trying to find ways to help him he tells him to get rid of it. That is not the American way. It is all about government control and if you do not believe that what about that City that is banning soft drinks in areas that the employees would make purchases. I may not drink a lot of soft drinks but if Americans want to buy a soft drink, or other sugary high calorie products - that is suppose to be our right. Don't worry about my health - that is my RESPONSIBILITY - I do not need Obama or Michelle Obama telling me what to eat, drink, drive, etc. Enough with the government!! Capitalism and Freedom.

I cut back on my driving about 15 years ago by getting rid of my car. Of course, it helps if you are old and tired and can not see well enough to drive anyway.

It also saves a heck of a lot of gas. Probably, it makes the roads safer. My experience with Wilmington's drivers however, encourages me to keep my life insurance paid up.

My 3 1/2 year old car has 5300 miles on it. I CAN'T drive less! This is what happens when you've been unemployed for way too long. All over the news I read / hear that the economy and the job market is improving. Unfortunately, New Hanover County is ALWAYS the last to get the word!

I soooo agree, I'm a single mom, trying to make it on disability due to a lot of health problems & I guess you could call it living on a very tight budget! Right now we never have any money to do anything, esp. go on vacation. I can barely afford food or clothes for my daughter because prices have soared over the last several years...plus no increase for us for 2 years, thank you very much to our wonderful new prez!! Yea Right...wonderful my butt! I wonder how many people in Congress have problems filling up their vehicles or clothing their children, if so I bet gas would come down immediately! I think they all need a cut in pay so they can see how most of the country lives! I'm so sick of this...I'm seriously thinking of buying a motorcycle, I've seen a couple online that are under $1000 & get great gas mileage, only problem can't carry my 11yr. old around or a bunch of groceries, but I can sure use it when I'm by myself & not doing a big shopping trip, seriosly shopping doesn't happen too often anymore!! I will stop driving as much I can til gas comes way down & other prices too...were all being taken for a ride! I dont care how much it effects my life, I will plan my life around driving less, until I can afford an electric or hybrid vehicle! I hope everyone starts driving alternative forms of transportation that dont use gas or not near as much, then watch the oil companies & money grubbers scramble! Can't wait to see the tables turned, cuz people are getting fed up with this BS!! Peace!
