Brunswick County narcotics detectives have made an arrest in last week's marijuana camp bust.
Fifty-four year old William James Burney of Supply was charged with two counts of trafficking marijuana, one count of possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver, plus one count of manufacturing marijuana.
More than 150 pounds of marijuana was seized from the woods near green swamp on Friday, worth more than $200,000.
Burney is being held under $210,000 bond.

marijuana bust
I saw the vidio. What did they do weigh stalks and roots and leaves. That could in no way be 150 pounds of saleable marijuana? What a ripe off. 1 pound per container (22)containers at the ultamate estimate 22 pounds. But the condition of these plants ,skimpie as they were, I estimate about 5 pounds at the most. There is in no way the best grower in the world could do this.(150 pounds)??? They like to weigh stalks, roots and leaves for the weight. The larger the weight the more tax money there is to collect from the suspect.85% of the money goes back to the same law office for the war on drugs. If the poor suspect dosn't have any money ($150,000 in this case)They take his house ,car, and ever thing he has. They need a payment on their new crime fighting chopper. I guess. I thought the county was hard up for money.
As I watch the world series....
and entertained by all the beer commercials, even how to carry many beers. It really disturbs me that this is even news. The cost of investigation/police, court/lawyers, and jail. It does not make sense! So I can go to a baseball game and get plastered on beer, but the govt. can spend billions in resources to basically control what people get high on. It does not make sense! How we repeat history is beyond scary. I guess if he was manufacturing alcohol during prohibition, then that would have been news too.
Stop the reefer madness and using my PAID taxes to fight a LOST battle. Critics please inform yourself!
Google Leap or www.leap.cc that is a start.
