One house on the Azalea Festival tour finally ready

WILMINGTON -- The Runge-Falles home on South Fifth Avenue is now furnished. After a major remodel, two local designers are putting the finishing touches on the makeover, complete with furniture and curtains. But don't expect to see period pieces and furniture in the newly remodeled mansion. Interior decorator Patti Baker said, “We chose some more contemporary colors to make it more contemporary, but still keeping the elegant feel of a southern home in downtown Wilmington." Last year the house was in the middle of renovations. Baker said, “They were taking a house that had been split up into four apartments, making it into a one-family home. This year, it is completed. It's going to be the ribbon-cutting house, and we have furnished the downstairs so people can see what it would look like for a family to live in." The house is now for sale. The asking price is $1.5 million. That does not include the furniture.
