Party gubernatorial candidate Mike Munger says Barr is slated to speak at Duke University followed by a visit to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. This will be Barr's first appearance in the state since attending the Libertarian state convention in May.Barr built a national following in the 1990s while a Republican congressman for his pursuit of President Clinton's impeachment. Barr has been polling at 1 or 2 percent of the vote nationwide, which could be enough to change the outcome of the race in some battleground states.
