Big drug bust in Wilmington

Emmett Hamlet is in jail Thursday night after police seized more than 80 grams of crack cocaine from a home within sight of New Hanover High School. In addition to the drugs, detectives seized four firearms, which complicates things further for Mr. Hamlet since he's already a convicted felon.

This gentleman should have tried to make it in Hollywood. I could see him playing one of the questionable characters from Fred's childhood that shows up in a jovial mood, but with a secret plan to dupe Mr. Sanford. Luckily, Lamont notices something isn't right, and with the help of Rollo, Grady and Aunt Esther he saves Fred from his own rarely-seen good heart, and Fred never repays him with gratitude, but instead calls Lamont a "big dummy." But deep down we all know that Fred really loves his son and knows his son loves him. Wait, this dude was selling crack! I don't think he belongs on such a family show. Drugs are Bay-yiddd!

It's about time! I know this man. Not only is he a dealer, He's a pimp! He rent rooms in his home to crackheads and keep them supplied with drugs in exchange for sexual favors. This has been going on for years. And might I add, he is a paraplegic! YES...PARALYZED!

all of this, why did you not step forward and use the annonymous tip program to get this guy off the streets. One of the major factors in the continued crimelessness in Wilmington is the failure of citizens to step forward and supply the authorities with information. Let's face it, he was within walking distance of the High School. He had 4 firearms on the premises. He is a convicted felon. By your own words, he used drugs to keep weak indiviguals under the control of crack and then by your words, he pimped them out. Did I miss something? I wonder if you could be charged with aiding and abetting after the fact?
