I sure hope Pender County

I sure hope Pender County does Saturday makeup days, Spring break plans already made and paid for. Pender County parents need to come together and make this happen.

Make Up Day

What needs to happen is that the kids SHOULD GO TO SCHOOL MONDAY and override MLK day. We never had MLK off school in the Northeast and it didn't affect us one bit by attending. When John F. Kennedy was assinated did we get a day off for that? NO!! And he was the PRESIDENT of this country!!!

Also, January 21 should be a HALF day for the kids and 1/2 day for teacher work day. We need to recind these bogus holidays.

Make up days on Saturdays are assinine. Those of us with children who have extra curricular games or activities will have to miss out.

This also interferes with parents' custodial visitations and creates a substantial inconvenience for all parties involved.

personally my children will

personally my children will not be attending school saturday. It's a personal choice. We have plans that can't be broken. I don't believe the Martin Luther King Day is bogus. I have lived in the north and south and we had that day off from school. My children will get there work tomorrow for saturday and turn it in on monday.

NOT MAKING UP MONDAY IS

NOT MAKING UP MONDAY IS ASSININE! I SAY WE SHOULD NOT SEND OUR CHILDREN ON PRESIDENTS DAY & ALLOW OUR CHILDREN TO STAY HOME & CELEBRATE!!!!
