"Going Green" seems to be the hot phrase these days. It means being environmentally friendly by recycling, reducing and reusing. But it also means doing things like saving water and energy.

It's hard to believe, but hurricane season is not that far away. It officially begins on June 1st. And the some places have already released their forecast for the upcoming season.

After surveying Saturday night's damage, the local National Weather Service did confirm that two tornadoes touched down, one in Columbus County and one in Pender County.

Saturday may have started out with nice weather but some nasty weather blew through the area between 6-9pm.
