Body of second teen found

READ MORE:

The search for a missing Columbus County teen is now over. Around noon Saturday, rescuers found the body of William Mills, the third teen who was thrown from a boat on Lake Waccamaw Wednesday.

The three East Columbus High students were in a paddle boat on the lake when high winds caused it to flip over.

Scott Collins survived by swimming back to shore using a make-shift life-preserver. But his friends Glen Marvin and William Mills could not survive the 47-degree water.

Marvin's body was found Thursday. Saturday around noon, sonar equipment and divers found the body of Mills about 300 yards away.

None of the teens was wearing a life jacket.

DONATIONS FOR WILLIAM MILLS FUNERAL

Donations were to be made at BB&T, however, they refused, so, if you would like to help out the family with funeral expenses, please make donations to Prosper Baptist Church C/O Mills Family at 6595 Livingston Chapel Rd Delco, NC 28436. Checks can be made payable to William Mills, as his father is of the same name. Thank you so much.

It is a crying shame that a company like BB&T treats people in the community like that. I hope that one day people in that company will wake up and get a heart. People in the area touch by this horrible accident should do should complain and if that does not work. They should close their account there. Riegelwood Federal Credit union does not treat the people in the community like they are just a number. If it was not for the people in the community then they would not have a job. I hope that this kind of tragic accident does not happen to you family.

bb&t

A lot of people die everyday here in accidents of all kinds and just because they do not rate a news story they do not benefit from public donations. BB&T is a bank not a mortuary. If this happened to a member of my family I would use the money I have saved/invested to bury them, after all they are MY concern not the publics. I would have bought life vests as well for my kids. Poor people get buried everyday without donations. Mortuary's work with you on that.

sounds life you are a non

sounds life you are a non caring person. The bank is here to serve the community. Without the community their would be no bank. Not all people have a savings!!!!! This family does not need to be critizied for not having the funds to put away their child. Maybe if you are soooooo rich you would like to pay for the service for them. Would you?????? Okay thats what I thought.!!!!! Have some sympathy!!! This could be you one day!!!
