Banjo plucking from the second annual Brewgrass festival reverberated throughout downtown Wilmington this afternoon. Some of the area's most renowned bluegrass musicians made appearances, along with with local bluegrass fans. "It's got that whole entire old school origin to it," Forrest Kerns said about Bluegrass. "It has a Scottish heritage going up to the mountains. You know, people in the mountains still play it. And it's the kind of heritage in America that I like." The event took place on the Water Street parking deck and featured an assortment of beers. Proceeds will benefit the Downtown Business Alliance.
