BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC - Sexual harassment, and retaliation against victims who protested, led to the firing of social services director Jamie Orrock, according to an explanatory letter the Brunswick County Board of Social Services composed - reports the State Port Pilot.
Dated October 12, the letter was Orrock’s notice of termination, which The State Port Pilot requested per newly effective amendments to North Carolina’s public records law.
The nine-page document details “inappropriate comments” Orrock allegedly made to female employees at his department and actions or threats he allegedly made against them after they complained to the social services board.
It also outlines his option to appeal the termination.
