Brunswick County Board of Education plans special meeting to discuss Gilbert

BRUNSWICK COUNTY -- The Brunswick County Board of Education has called a special meeting tonight. Board member conduct and safety issues will be the topics of discussion at the meeting. The special meeting stems from a protective order filed against board member Ray Gilbert. A school secretary says she had an affair with Gilbert, and is now worried he might try to hurt her or her children. The order currently bans Gilbert from three schools. The meeting starts at five at the Brunswick County School district headquarters.

I think that what he done in

I think that what he done in his public life have any thing to do with his job

Ray Gilbert

I think Gilbert and the secretary both should be fired. Both are very disgusting and should not be around our children. Neither are setting an example we wish our children to follow. The whole school system needs a good enema!

This is continuance of a series of problems associated with Gilbert over the years. He does NOT need to represent our school system. The Board should take action immediately. His reputation is awful.

its hard to beleive

this hit me like a rock...... what in the world!!! and you comment that there was other problems?... wow .. i have always known ray to be very a very out spoken person...

How can an elected board take action against one of it's elected members? This would have to come from a higher court or position. Oh, you're a typical government schooled person aren't you...
