Brunswick County candidate forum

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) -- Monday night's Congressional candidate debate was quickly followed by a forum for other candidates.

United State's Senate and House candidates and Brunswick County District Attorney candidates answered questions from a panel.

The candidates that attended the forum addressed local and national issues. Some of those issues involved cutting back programs, the judicial system, and taxes in the area.

The candidates in attendance included Bill Rabon, David Redwine, James Knox, Frank Iler, Tristan Patterson, Jon David and Harold Pope.

The forum was presented by the Alliance of Brunswick County Property Owners Associations.

I wasn't impressed at all. He uses his brother's tired old line about being the 'voice of the victim'-- All the crimes he claims to have solved? Well everyone already knew who committed the crimes.

Jon David talks as if this is a non-partisan race, and he just recently switched to Republican only because of the change in the favorable political wind. Yet he stood up last night cheering and applauding for that crazy Yankee Pantano in the Congressional debate the whole time. A bit two-faced if you ask me.
