Brunswick County man gets nearly 20 years for child porn

BRUNSWICK COUNTY -- A Brunswick County man will spend a very long time in prison for transmitting child pornography over the internet. Collier Sessoms has been sentenced to almost 20 years after pleading guilty in federal court. Sessoms was unknowingly chatting with a New Jersey detective online and via telephone when he said he had sexually abused two young boys. A search of his home and computer revealed a substantial collection of child pornography.

ALMOST twenty years? WTH? An admission of quilt and a collection of child porn and he gets ALMOST 20 years..WOW..and he'll probably only see 10 of those 20 years in prison. UNREAL!

Nothing mentioned that this guy has the intellect of a child. He was enticed to commit this crime by a police officer. This fellow needs more help and less punishment.

Yeah right. He was a EMT and a truck driver. What about the kids that he assaulted. One of the kids had Downs syndrome. If you read the transcript of what the man said to the undercover cop you would feel a little different. He does not need to be looked at as a victim what about the innoncent kids he abused... He was in a chat room titled "sexual activities with children" even before he ever talked to an undercover officer. How innocent does that sound!
