James Knott has been charged with embezzlement. This case has been under investigation for almost a year.

Knott was arrested Friday and has since bonded out of jail.

Brian Watts says the Calabash EMS Board of Directors contacted Brunswick County for help after finding problems with where their money was going.

At that point, the county started to with-hold funding to Calabash Volunteer EMS.

Watts is now on the Board of Directors and says he's "comfortable with how the books are being kept."

Calabash EMS starting receiving their funding again in December of 2009.

Great News

So happy this man got caught stealing from the citizens of Brunswick County and the citizens of Calabash.

What a Crook. Think about how many homes he has been inside of!! Wonder how many of those homes have items or money missing??

If convicted, I say they build some gallows outside the courthouse and introduce him to it.

I cant stand a Thief!
