Brunswick County students to pay more for school lunch

Brunswick County students will have to pay more for school lunches next year. The Brunswick County School Board approved the price hike Tuesday to help cover the rising costs. School Board chair Shirley Babson said the board only approved half the amount it asked for in order to try and help out families already struggling. With the compromise lunches will cost ten to fifteen cents more than they do currently.

Just what us middle class folks need. We have to now spend more money to help with the poor OR lazy (there is a difference) that can't affort it themselves. I just need to quit working so that I can get everything for free. Whats next?

I know everything is going

I know everything is going up because of gas prices, but I just have one question. Where is all that lottery money going that we were promised would be poored into our public schools? I don't see where the schools are ANY better off, in fact if anything they are worse! I still spend more in the school each year than the year before. And still have MANY concerns about the education my children are receiving!

Solve the school lunch problem by letting the little darlings carry a lunch from home, like I did when I went to school and as I still do at work.
