Burgaw man facing life in prison

A Burgaw man faces life imprisonment after pleading guilty to federal drug and gun charges. Forty-three-year old Barry Jones plead guilty yesterday to possession and conspiring to distribute more than 500 grams of pure cocaine, and crack cocaine. Jones also plead guilty to possessing a firearm to enhance drug trafficking.

Let's hope

the sentence is life without parole. On another note, perhaps part of his sentence could be served in Creekwood and the other areas of Wilmington. He could serve as a model of what will happen to the dealers who prey in the projects once the Wilmington police can focus attention in those areas.
